i’m a lucky, lucky person— there are a lot of people in my life who are the sort of people who deserve love and appreciation. friday, i sent fourteen cards in the mail to women who go to church with my parents. yesterday, i started getting calls from them to say a quick thank you for the notes i mailed. last night, after he came home from baseball practice, my brother and i made grilled cheeses together and signed cards for our parents. this afternoon, my parents gave me a bracelet and told me, like they tell me each and every day, that they love me more than i’ll ever know. my mom and dad bought each other adele’s newest cd. i belatedly mailed a card to s who lives out of town. tonight m, who is the oldest and dearest friend i have in the world, took me to the movies.

this is my love life, and i have more than i will ever need, but having too much will never be a bad thing.
